Some things I've learned:

1. "His Word does not return void"
     -This is amazing to see, that even when I'm not doing it with the right intentions, God can still bless
       someone through me.
2. "All things work together for good"
     -The idea that bad can be good, I can't conceptualize it. But just knowing that this is the case is more  
      consuming than anything else.
3. "Pride goeth before destruction"
     -I don't respond to correction very well, I have a pride problem...obviously, but it's definitely
      something I've been working on.

So there are some of the things that I learned on Sunday while sitting on the back porch steps. I feel like those steps are a place of discovery for me incredible often. It's a place where I constantly get caught up in the mercies of God, while waiting for Sunday School to get out. It's my place of revelation, conversation, and praise; a place where I can meet God.

Philippians 1:21-26:

²¹For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. ²²If I am to live in the flesh, that means fruitful labor for me. Yet which I shall choose I cannot tell. ²³ I am hard pressed between the two. My desire is to depart and be with Christ, for that is far better. ²⁴But to remain in the flesh is more necessary on your account. ²⁵ Convinced of this, I know that I will remain and continue with you all, for your progress and joy in the faith, ²⁶so that in me you may have ample cause to glory in Christ Jesus, because of my coming to you again. 

God is pretty great.
